Welcome to the CMA
Blue Ribbon Rides are
organised to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer and to raise funds
for the cancer research.
Did you know that:
-
the death rate for
prostate cancer is higher than that for breast cancer
-
Many men are
developing early-stage symptoms in their 40s
-
In many cases the
symptoms don't appear until the cancer is well-developed
-
For many men this
cancer is slow moving, but in some cases more vigorous
form of the cancer develops
-
As with any cancer,
it has to be dealt with early for the treatment to be very
effective
-
Chances of
contraction are increased if there is a family history
-
Men should be getting
checked regularly once they they are in their 40s and the tests
need to be effective - not all tests are accurate!
