Yolla Baptist Church Biker's Church
11th April 2010
At Yolla we had about 20 CMA members turn
up for this event, some braved the showers, some came
by Tin Tops. The congregation were all in, seated and
singing when 5 bikes drove in through double doors 2
to the front and 3 in the rear of Church.
The program of singing with Ivan Jordan
the Pastor of the Baptist Church, then some church notices
from Church Secretary and then it was over to CMA to
run.
Our Chaplin Bob Mellows opened the service
in prayer then the President, Graham Neasey welcomed
every one and gave a brief description of how CMA started,
talked about gold coin donations and what we achieved.
Also refered to one of our members' trips to Cambodia
with money and supplies for orphanages. A bible reading
was given by Maryanne Midson then a testimony from Richard
Mc Loghlan. We then had a Panel up front with 5 CMA
members and was asked questions about CMA and why we
are involved in it. Next a report by Stuart Midson on
the National Run to NSW and Peter Jopson gave a report
on how he became involved, after seeing so many bikes
on the toy run. Ivan finished up with a devotional message
and closed the meeting in prayer.
Theres more !!
After the service there was a bbq lunch
on for everyone and the food was great!! Special thanks
to the Yolla Men who cooked downstairs and Ladies who
provided finger food, sandwiches and whole table of
sweets - we thought we were at a wedding breakfast.
We thought that as the Church was celebrating
100 years of service to the community it would be fitting
to get a photo of the bikes and riders in front of the
church. Pastor Ivan said they have one with horses lined
up in front of the Hall from the 50th celebration.
Hope we can go next year! Can you see
a new member coming up?
